It’s the middle of winter and that means we are thinking about running!
The 2013 Easter Sun Run is coming soon. With Easter earlier in the year, the run will be held March 30 at Sedgwick County Park. The event is one of the Midwest’s top road races.
The Sun Run got its start in 1994 with 350 attendees. Participants in that race could choose between a 10k and a 2-mile race. Now, nearly 20 years later, the race has expanded to 2,400 runners and an estimated 4,000 total attendees. The racing portion of the event has something for runners – or walkers—of every level, including a 10k, 2-mile run, and a 2-mile memorial walk.
Race day features live music, a barbeque lunch, and a fun, energetic atmosphere. To read more about last year’s race, visit eastersunrun.com.
