Smiles, sugar cookies, and Christmas music were the order of the day at the Youth Horizons Mentoring Christmas Party over the holidays. The party was held Dec. 15th at Pathway Church. The event was an opportunity for mentors, protégés and their families to come together and celebrate the Christmas season. Each child in the mentoring program received a gift that had been sponsored by a local church, church group, or individual. Kids on the waiting list for a mentor received a gift card to a local store, as well as other goodies.
The Pathways Youth Group helped facilitate the event by putting together gift bags, helping with snacks, arranging a game, and proving a musical program. Earnest Alexander sang during the program and he was joined on several numbers by Rodney Bartlett.
