From the Ranch

by: residential staff member Paul Comegys

At the ranch we are preparing for spring. Some of the boys are really growing in their ability to work with tools and stay on task. It’s fun to watch them accomplish things they had never done before.

The boys have been at work tilling the ground, getting ready to plant our gardens. All of the boys are doing well working with the goats. It is hilarious at times because the goats will try to nibble on the boys and the boys react to that for sure. The boys have helped in the building of a chicken house and a green house. There will plenty of work for the boys this summer on the property.

We are also doing training now with new staff for the Martin House. We are just a short time away from bringing boys into the Martin House. We already have boys waiting for open beds. We will be interviewing them to see if they are a fit for our program in the coming days.

Pray for our boys and for us as we seek to help them become the men they were made to be.
