Foam mustaches, crazy hats, flowers and princess movies were some of the themes at the 2nd Annual Ladies Mentoring Brunch earlier this month. Ladies of all ages gathered at Youth Horizons March 2 for the event, which was exclusively for female mentors and protégés.
The morning began with a brunch served and prepared by volunteers. Everyone enjoyed the opportunity to talk and get to know new friends.
After the meal, guest speaker Lisa Still gave a talk. She spoke about the movie “Tangled,” and how the story of a lost princess resonated with her in her relationship with Jesus. Lisa encouraged the girls – and the mentors – to remember that they are loved and valuable to Jesus and to the people in their lives.
After Lisa’s talk, the ladies rotated through three activity stations. They had the opportunity to make each an infinity scarf, get a manicure, create fun props for a photo booth station, and hear a short talk on dressing and style tips and ideas.
Thanks to all of our many volunteers who helped make the Ladies Brunch a success! We are thankful for your willingness to be a part of these girls’ lives!
