Prayer Points – August 2013

“There is no power like that of prevailing prayer, of Abraham pleading for Sodom, Jacob wrestling in the stillness of the night, Moses standing in the breach, Hannah intoxicated with sorrow, David heartbroken with remorse and grief, Jesus in sweat of blood.  Add to this list from the records of the church your personal observation and experience, and always there is the cost of passion unto blood.  Such prayer prevails.  It turns ordinary mortals into men of power.  It brings power.  It brings fire.  It brings rain.  It brings life.  It brings God.”

Preacher and author Samuel Chadwick spoke those words in the late 1800s, but they are still as today as they were then. We believe that prayer matters and prayer is powerful. Will you join us in praying?

  • Pray for the children in our program as they head back to school this month. Pray they would make wise choices in their friends and would be diligent in their classes.
  • Pray for the parents of the children in our program. Pray they would be strengthened and encouraged.
  • Pray that our mentors would have wisdom in encouraging and coaching their protégés as school begins.
  • Pray for the Kinloch Price Boys Ranch as we head into the fall, with school starting, transitions in the houses and more boys coming.
