Mentoring plants seeds for a lifetime.
Youth Horizons operates a Christian mentoring program for boys and girls. We match Christian adults with children ages 5-14. Mentors agree to mentor for a period of one year. They work on life skills and school work with their kids, enjoy fun outings and talk about spiritual truths.
We offer two types of mentoring: community-based mentoring and school-based mentoring. In community-based mentoring, the mentor picks up a child from his or her home to experience activities in the community. In school-based mentoring, the mentor meets the child at the school to spend intentional, quality time in that environment.

Our residential program is both home and hope.
Our residential program follows the Boys Town model of behavior modification. We accept boys between the ages of 10 and 16. Currently, we have one home in operation at the boys ranch and one home that is expected to be ready for occupation in early 2011. Each home can house eight boys. Each home has a live-in teaching couple serving as mom and dad for the home.
