MCP Grant Loss
Teresa and Kamehra are our newest MCP match.
Due to Federal budget cuts, the grant we received for Mentoring Children of Prisoners will no longer be funded as of Sept. 30, 2011. It was a blessing to have received the grant, and it is a disappointment to lose it. The work we do with children of incarcerated parents, however, will continue. It has added another layer to our mentoring program.
To help us address the budget shortfall because of the loss of the MCP grant, we are asking you to make a $20/month pledge to sponsor a match. This covers the administrative costs of matching mentors and proteges, including ongoing training and support for mentors. With God’s provision and your help, we can continue loving and mentoring the children of incarcerated parents.
