Now, let’s talk strategy. You’ve been challenged to ask five people you know to consider being a mentor. Here’s a tool to help you do that easily. We have specially-designed recruitment cards for you to give out. Each card has all the information your recruit needs:

• It says that you think they’d be a good mentor
• It has our contact information
• And where to go online and fill out an interest form

When your recruit fills out the online form, there’s a spot where they’ll list the person who referred them – that’s you. The recruit will then be added to your team – K-State or KU – and it will count as a point for your team.

So here’s how it plays out:

We are challenging you to take five recruitment cards. We have them at our office, and will also have them at the coffee hour available to be picked up. We can find a way to get them to you. Next, think about five people you can recruit and approach them. Share with them about your match, and how God has used you in the life of a fatherless child. Give them a card and ask them to go online and fill out the interest form. Filling out that form just means they are interested in getting more information. All this takes about 2 to 3 minutes. Think about that for a second. We have 50 kids on our Waiting List who are one caring adult away from success. And a 2 to 3 minute conversation away from you helping find them that mentor.
