Jared Holcomb – Mentoring Director
I’ve been at Youth Horizons for more than three years. During that time, I’ve seen firsthand children succeed in the mentoring program and thrive at the ranch. This, along with increasing experience, has helped me to really commit to the work and vision of Youth Horizons.
All of these things have fostered in me an increased trust in the leadership of Youth Horizons, as well as a growing desire to see kids matched through the mentoring program.
There is a lot of research and statistics, studies and more that show that mentoring really is an influential factor in helping children become healthy members of society.
But ultimately, mentoring matters and addresses the issue of fatherlessness because it gets one of these at-risk youth in front of a caring, Christian adult who can then share with them the truth of the Gospel.
I am extremely thankful for the opportunity given to me by Youth Horizons leadership to take up the role of Mentoring Director. I am also thankful to all of you who through your prayers, time, and financial support help make this work possible.
