A Letter from Youth Horizons’ New President, Robert Garner

Greetings,

It gives me great joy to officially introduce myself as being the next President of Youth Horizons.  To say that I feel blessed beyond measure is an understatement.  To be given the opportunity to lead this organization during a time when a generation of youth is in desperate need of care is a pinnacle moment for me.  I am a product of this ministry and know first handedly the degree to which GOD has directed the work of Youth Horizons. Together as a ministry we will continue to stand firmly on the unwavering promises of God. I pray often…“GOD, help us to be unshakeable in this ministry.  Help us to love more and want less.  Amen.”

I have been involved at various levels in this ministry from the very day the organization was formed.  While serving as a mentor, interim house parent, staff trainer and consultant to the key leaders in the organization, I have developed an affinity for Youth Horizons. I stand grounded in my commitment to lead as a servant of God, work with integrity and communicate with all stakeholders with great transparency.  It is my belief that it takes a village of believers to do this work. It takes prayer warriors and selfless people to impact our youth in ways that will empower them to live a life of spiritual wholeness.  It takes people like yourselves who believe in the power of the almighty GOD to transform lives.  With God’s help, I promise to lead humbly and boldly to continue the work of winning souls, saving lives and to be one of the vessels God uses to advance his kingdom.  I’m so excited to work collaboratively with the entire board of Youth Horizons, to encourage your faithfulness and to serve the Wichita community in ministry.

My plans are to start in a part time capacity in May and start full time on June 1st as I am currently obligated to honor the remaining responsibilities I have with the Wichita Public Schools.

I look forward to meeting you in the very near future.

Yours truly in Christ,

Robert Garner

Youth Horizons

President

Congrats Robert, having worked with you at Brooks I know the kind of love you have for kids and your love of the Lord! I am so happy for you! It’s the Wichita Public Schools loss but you are where you can really make a better change in children’s lives following your beliefs! Prayers that the Lord will lead you to do and be the best “you” that you can be for the good of the cause!
