The decision to move our office from 1601 E Douglas was not taken lightly and has been in consideration for many years. Our current space is outdated and does not offer the most efficient use of space. Unfortunately, the estimated costs of renovation could not be justified so we began our search. Being centrally located was important to us, to be easily accessible to all, and we are thrilled to announce that we have closed on the building that will house our new administrative and mentoring office. Youth Horizons will be moving to 125 S. Washington, just a few blocks west of where we are currently located. The new building we have acquired will provide an open environment for conversations and collaboration in a professional setting. A training center will provide needed space and new technology to host Mentor and Advocate Trainings, as well as other learning opportunities. A large space on the ground level will allow for small events to still be held, such as mentoring events, donor dinners, and community events.
We will need to complete some minor renovations and hope to move in at the end of January or beginning of February. After getting settled, we plan to host an open house so all who are interested can share in our excitement and tour the new space. Keep a lookout for that date!
