Ministry is Growing, and We are Blessed
May 1, 2020
The last month and a half has been an unprecedented time for us, and we have been exceedingly blessed through it all. The first ever virtual Easter Sun Run involved 593 individuals walking or running in their neighborhoods and parks throughout the state over Easter weekend. While we were heartbroken to not see everyone gathered at Sedgwick County Park, everyone truly embraced this year’s slogan “Divided by Distance, United in Mission” by taking photos and posting online. I believe we had more publicity this way than in our typical year. We were able to raise nearly $25,000 and for that we are truly grateful.
Our mentoring and residential programs continue to grow, which means we are adding additional staff to meet the growing needs. Many are not able to continue their normal giving due to current circumstances, and we completely understand and as a staff lift you up in our prayers often. One of the most important ways you can support us during this time is through prayer as well! For those of you who have increased your giving, or given for the first time, we have thanked God for you and pray for you too. Donors like you are invaluable partners in our ministry. If there is any way that we can specifically be praying for you, or if you have any questions about our work, I would love to talk with you.
