Easter Sun Run Success
We want to thank all who participated in the Virtual 2021 Easter Sun Run (ESR). Our vision, “Divided by Distance, United in Mission” turned out to be evident with how participants, churches and sponsors came together to support Youth Horizons. Three churches even held their own race event, which created a fun atmosphere for their members underscoring our value of community. Despite being unable to hold the traditional race, this year’s event was a success bringing in over 400 registrants.
We want to give a special “Thank-You” to our 18 sponsors. Absent an in-person road race, Youth Horizons engaged sponsorships in a new way. We are thrilled that we had three Gold Sponsors: Icon-Structures, Inc., Cox Business and Pratt Industries. Cox Business sponsored the 2-Mile Race. Icon- Structures, Inc. sponsored the 10K Race. Pratt Industries sponsored the three-day Packet Pick Up Event. Sponsors were key, not only in making the ESR a successful event but also in impacting Youth Horizons at large as this is one of our top fundraisers of the year.
Mark your calendars! The 28th Annual Easter Sun Run will return to Sedgwick County Park on Saturday, April 16, 2022. We will be back and better than ever with some fun new enhancements, perhaps including satellite church locations. We look forward to seeing you next year.
