A Day of Joy, Connection, and Community
by · Oct 15, 2025
The smell of grilled food, the laughter of children, and the sight of kites dancing in the crisp autumn air – it all came together beautifully at this year’s Youth Horizons Fall Festival, hosted by Calvary Chapel Wichita.

Nearly 50 volunteers from Calvary Chapel dedicated their Saturday to creating a day filled with joy for the youth and families we serve. Their team brought heart and energy to every detail — from setting up inflatables and pumpkin stations to serving snow cones and organizing yard games. It was a full day of fun that reminded us what community looks like when people come together to share the love of Christ.

With more than 100 attendees, including mentors, parents, protégés, residential youth, and kids on the waiting list for mentors, the Fall Festival was a vibrant reflection of our mission in action. From gaga ball tournaments to laughter over bubbles, the day overflowed with moments that helped strengthen relationships and build new ones.

We’re deeply grateful to Calvary Chapel Wichita for opening their grounds and hearts to our Youth Horizons family. Their generosity and hospitality created a safe, joyful space where kids could simply be kids — and where mentors and families could connect in meaningful ways.

Thank you, Calvary Chapel Wichita, for showing what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Your partnership helps us continue building a community where every child experiences belonging, hope, and love.
