Highlighting a Volunteer Mentor

A Match Highlight is chosen by our Mentor Coaches as a way to share part of our Mentoring program as well as the great things Mentors do in young people’s lives. Mentor Siegfried (“Sig”) and Protégé Joshua celebrated their fifth anniversary with Mentor Coach Carrie Crow and Mentor Coach Jayden Grimsley at their favorite spot, Paleteria La Reyna, a Mexican ice-cream shop. Over the past few months, Sig and Joshua spent time studying the driver’s manual. This summer, Joshua took the driver’s test and passed – first try! Since then, Sig has been helping Joshua track his driving hours. Joshua is a student at North High, and his favorite classes are concert choir, performance choir and pottery.
