The 4 S’s Interview: Struggles Questions

4 S's Interview: Struggles

Today’s kids face a myriad of STRUGGLES that can significantly impact their well-being and development. The constant exposure to social media creates pressure to conform to unrealistic standards, leading to issues with self-esteem and body image. Academic demands and competitive extracurricular activities contribute to stress and anxiety, often leaving little time for relaxation and play. Additionally, the rapid pace of technological advancements can result in feelings of isolation despite being constantly connected. These struggles can lead to mental health challenges, such as depression and anxiety, and hinder their ability to form healthy relationships, concentrate on their studies, and enjoy a balanced childhood.

Engaging with the following questions will be critical to understanding the STRUGGLES our kids face today:

  1. Are there things that you worry about or are afraid of?
  2. Are there places you don’t like to go or people you don’t like to be around?
  3. Is there anything you wish you could change about yourself?

Don’t forget to share your own struggles – keeping in mind the age of the kid you’re talking to and appropriate topics!
